Mountain Rescue (All Mountain Rescue is voluntary and
funded by public donations. Teams are made up of volunteers who are on
call 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They respond to the need to find and
rescue people whenever called. Each team has to carry a variety of
equipment to meet the challenge of Rescues in all weathers. Teams have
vehicles to keep on the road, radios to maintain, first aid equipment to
replace and maintain, along with technical rescue equipment from ropes
and karabiners, to waterproof clothing which requires constant fund
raising to ensure the best services can be given to every rescue. The
Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland is a registered charity in
Scotland (No SC015257)).
