Scottish Charities:  
  • Children's Hospice Association, Scotland (CHAS) (the Scottish Charity committed to the provision of hospice services in Scotland, for children with life limiting conditions and their families - opened their SECOND Hospice, Robin House near Balloch in 2005) .
  • Search & Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) Southern Scotland (the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) Southern Scotland is a non profit making, voluntary organisation which can provide search and rescue dogs in the South of Scotland at any time 24 hours a day 365 days a year to help the Police and Mountain Rescue Teams search for missing people. The association depends on public support and is a recognised charity in Scotland (SC028709)).
Local Charities:
  • Surrey Air Ambulance Fund (the Surrey Air Ambulance Fund is a registered charity established to relieve sick and injured people in South East England and surrounding areas by providing a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and air ambulance service for the benefit of the community. Responding swiftly to 999 calls, the Surrey Air Ambulance can deliver its highly skilled team of Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics to the scene of an accident or medical emergency within minutes. Flying fast, direct and unhindered at over 150mph the Air Ambulance can reach any part of Surrey within 15 minutes flying time and can transport patients to the nearest major hospital or specialist unit in a fraction of the time taken by land ambulance).
