Alex Segger, our Hon. Piper, leads the Haggis procession
with Denise (Poosie Nancie) Smith, Niall and Peter Mitchell

The President welcomes members and friends
to our 44th Burns Supper

Peter Mitchell prepares to inflict injury during the Address the Haggis...

Michael Nolan proposes an interesting and informative Toast to the Immortal Memory

James Mathieson renders 'The Star of Robbie Burns'
in his own inimitable style, before ...

... Patrick MacPhail performs a selection of Burns and other Scottish tunes on the flute, ...

... and Jamie and Niall Mitchell give voice
to a few more.

... Robbie Smith claims to have taken out insurance in preparation
for Toasting the Lassies ...

... but this doesn't impress Rosemary Mitchell
who gives as good as she gets in her Reply.

Andrew Nolan upholds Heston Scottish
traditions of hospitality,
proposing the Toast to our Guests, but breaks new ground by doing so in VERSE...

... to which our Principal Guest, Rhiannon Hill,
replies in time-honoured fashion on behalf of all visitors.

The whole enjoyable evening passes in a blur, before we knew it was midnight, with just enough time to join together in Burns' international song of farewell "Auld Lang Syne".

Haste Ye Back !
