By popular request, The President recites Burns' epic poem "Tam O'Shanter"

.. before getting in touch
with his feminine side,
in preparation for Toasting the Lassies ...

... giving Lesley Goddard
plenty of ammunition with which to return the compliments in her Reply.

         

Steve Smith upholds Heston Scottish
traditions of hospitality,
proposing the Toasting to our Guests ...

... to which our Principal Guest, Mary Barry,
President of Hayes Scottish, replies on behalf of all visitors.

   

The whole enjoyable evening passes in a blur, before we knew it was midnight, with just enough time to join together in Burns' international song of farewell "Auld Lang Syne".
